- According to ANSWERS.COM, the word subsidy is defined as monetory assistance granted by a government to a person or group in support of an enterprise regarded as being in the public interest.
- A minister predicted that if the govt do not stopped the subsidies culture, Malaysia will go bancrupt by 2019. How ironic, in the last decade our country aimed to be a developed country by 2020 now will become bancrupt a year before.
- How strange, when the govt 'legalize the illegal' (football betting) and suddenly a day after they immediately talk about cutting the subsidies. Something must be very wrong. be very afraid my friends.
- When the problems was caused by the governments' own competencies in curbing the corruption, its easier to go for the simplest form of solution, cut the subsidies and ask the rakyat to tighten the belts.
- Yesterday, a minister from Sabah (a full minister, not a deputy) made a really funny statement (from my view) " poor rakyats will have more benefits when government cut the subsidies". I dont think so, not with the current government.
- The very same person who started this subsidies dependency problems now giving advice how to slowly take back the subsidies.
- Idris Bin Jala said RM103 billion can be saved over 5 years if the subsidies go. I doubt how much of that will go to rakyat.
- Now all the ministers are giving advices to rakyat how to spend wisely and lesser the burden. This is the thing that I hate most. How hypocrite they are.
- The rakyat bear the burden but they increase their wealths. No point we keep tighten our belt when at the same time the leakages in the government pockets (through corruption) are getting bigger. Think the Auditor General Report, RM28B lost through various fishy acts.
